In The Early Morning Light

In the early morning light
just before dawn,
when thoughts are spawned
and time for contemplation is,
clarity of vision breaks the silence,
and the knowing
gets louder than noise,
making sense of nonsense
and turning reality into absurdity.
Through this little pinhole of perception peeks
through the eye of the needle sees
another day just like the one before it,
naked windows exposing cluttered floors
and the skeletons in the closet.
Empty rooms and excuses,
and lies swept under the carpet
all scramble like roaches
in the early morning light.
